This is an excellent little book that captures the spirit of the Macintosh user in the computer’s early days. It would go well with the Macintosh Folklore Radio podcasts. It is very short and would be a good read during, e.g., a quick lunch. But, consisting as it does of comic strips drawn from the end user point of view early in the Macintosh's career, and put into context by Mr. Bell's brief narratives, it is most enjoyable nostalgic look back.Product details

I found this to be an entertaining short book. For any Apple lover this is a must. For all others it is a good read.
This short collection of comics, quotes and memories about the early days of the Apple Macintosh, from 1984 to 1986, brought me a lot of smiles. If you're an Apple greybeard like me it will remind you of the days when the Mac's main enemy was IBM and people argued it was just a toy. Instead it turned out to be the beginning of a creative revolution.
This is a homecoming short for fans of the original Macintosh! A wonderful tribute to a revolutionary design and those who embraced it then and now. Well-written, well-edited and funny!
As an IBM user, some of the Mac language was lost on me. But the cartoons are well done, and understandable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this brief bit of nerd nostalgia. As a kid who used Apple IIs in school and cut lawns to buy a Mac, these pixelated cartoons and short essays really took me back... I can almost hear my ImageWriter screeching in the distance.
Please note that I am making a conscious decision not to review the Apple v Google cyberpunk yakuza fan fiction excerpted at the end of this work. Take from that what you will.
